Every Class In Loop Hero, Ranked

Each of the three Loop Hero classes has its own strengths and flaws. How do they compare to each other?

Loop Hero is a deckbuilding roguelike where you use a variety of cards to build the cave you have to crawl through. Your Hero will keep going back and forth through this dungeon, picking up equipment and resources along the way that you can use to get better and improve your camp.

In Loop Hero, you can choose to play as a Warrior, a Rogue, or a Necromancer. Each has its own pros and cons, but you might be asking which one is the best. You can see how we ranked the Loop Hero classes below, along with a little bit about why we put them where we did.

Warrior

Loop Hero Warrior

The Warrior is the basic class in Loop Hero, which means you can play it right away. The Warrior is the standard class, so it doesn’t have any clear benefits or disadvantages over the other two. That’s why it’s last on the list. The Warrior’s simplicity, on the other hand, can be seen as a strength. Because the class is simple, it’s easy to play and get gear for.

The Warrior uses Counterattacks, Vampirism, and Regeneration to stay alive. For extra damage, the Warrior relies on weapons and Field Tiles. Rocks and Mountains are important for increasing the Warrior’s already high health pool, while Forests and Thickets can greatly increase your damage.

With these numbers, the Warrior is the toughest of the three classes and can handle most situations. But the Warrior can do less damage overall, which could make fights last longer. The Warrior’s passive ability makes him do 2% more damage for every second he’s in a fight. This can actually help you win long fights, so you can build only for staying alive.

Overall, the Warrior isn’t bad, and it’s a good choice for players who want a simpler method, but the Rogue and Necromancer are better.

Rogue

Loop Hero Rogue

The second class you can unlock in Loop Hero is the Rogue. You can do this by building the Refuge in your Camp. The Rogue uses a fast attack speed and a high rate of dodging to deal damage and avoid being hit by the enemy.

The Rogue is the only one who can get Trophies when he kills enemies. When you kill an enemy, you will get a Trophy instead of a random piece of gear. When you go back to your campsite, all of your Trophies will be turned into random pieces of kit, and any extra Trophies will be turned into resources.

This makes the Rogue very good at farming resources. Especially since you only need to check and change your equipment once per loop.

The Rogue starts out very weak and needs a lot of help from Outposts and other Field Tiles to kill enemies. Also, your health and ability to avoid attacks will be low, leaving you very open to enemy strikes. But if you can make it through the early game, the Rogue becomes one of the most powerful classes. You can avoid most hits and fight back with a very fast attack speed.

The Rogue scales well because Forest and Thicket Field Tiles speed up attacks. And if they are put next to a River, the benefits can be doubled. If you also have the Card-sharp Trait, you can add even more Tiles to increase these perks.

Overall, the Rogue is a “glass cannon” class that does well in the late 8 Ball Pool game but has trouble early on. The Rogue has a lot of trouble if they choose the wrong gear or get bad drops. Which keeps them from being number one on this list.

Necromancer

Loop Hero Necromancer (1)

After building the Crypt, you can play as the Necromancer, which is the third available class in Loop Hero. The Necromancer is one of a kind because he can call up skeletons to fight for him instead of fighting himself. As your skeletons get stronger and better, you can call on different types. Such as Skeleton Guards, Skeleton Archers, and Skeleton Mages.

Because of this, the Necromancer is very weak and easy to hurt. And he relies on his Skeletons to do all of his work. To do well, the Necromancer needs good gear and stats. Unlike the Rogue, the Necromancer should have a much easier time staying alive early on because his Skeletons scale well at first.

On the other hand, the Necromancer may seem weaker as you loop. If you don’t keep improving your gear and putting down helpful Field Tiles. You can also focus on different stats for the Necromancer. If you focus on too many stats at once, you’ll be weaker overall.

All of that said, the Necromancer is unbeatable with the right setup and scales very well as your runs get longer. By putting Skeleton Level, call Quality, and Attack Speed at the top of your list. You can quickly call Skeletons that are very strong and kill your enemies. Try to have at least one or two points in max Skeletons to get the most out of these boosts.

The Necromancer’s skill is that he can avoid getting hurt by using his Skeletons as a shield. The Skeleton Guard is great for this because it’s always the first thing enemies go after. You can also get the Laying Down One’s Life Trait, which will spread the damage you take fairly between you and your active Skeletons. This will help you stay alive even longer.

Overall, the Necromancer is the most powerful class in Loop Hero. This is because Skeleton Level has a lot of increasing power and your Skeletons keep you safe in general.
