A Prayer to Be Bold for the Gospel
By Laura Bailey

“For I fully anticipate and hope that I will hardly ever be ashamed, but I will carry on to be daring for Christ, as I have been in the earlier. And I trust that my existence will convey honor to Christ, regardless of whether I reside or die.” Philippians 1:20 NLT

Each and every early morning I say the exact prayer, “Lord, open up my eyes and heart to see people today who want to listen to the Gospel now. Give me the courage to proclaim the Fantastic News boldly.”

The words and phrases roll very easily off my tongue my coronary heart beats rapidly as I feel about the likely opportunities to share Jesus with anyone. My blood pumps as I think about the ripple results of an individual supplying their life to Christ–changing someone’s existence, not just for the day but for eternity. Nonetheless, as I established foot in the environment, confronted with opposition, criticism, and self-doubt, my assurance wanes in return, keeping my lips shut. I lay my head on the pillow, shame consuming my thoughts, an additional day handed, and I chickened out.

Have you at any time felt that way? You experience the Holy Spirit nudging you to invite a co-worker to church, but you persuade on your own that your text will be offensive. You study that a household member has not long ago turned away from their faith, and you come to feel a powerful motivation to access out but anxiety it might be a complicated dialogue. A sister in Christ shares a viewpoint that contradicts the Bible you know you must carefully suitable her incorrect considering but never want to offer with the confrontation.

There have been several “skipped- opportunities” to share the Gospel, lovingly issue a person back to Christ, or advocate for the infallibility of the Bible. But here is the fantastic information about the Good News: you are unable to thwart God’s strategy. Just about every day is an possibility for God to use you to deliver men and women to Him! Paul wrote these words to the early church from a jail mobile:

For I entirely be expecting and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but I will continue to be daring for Christ, as I have been in the previous. And I rely on that my everyday living will provide honor to Christ, irrespective of whether I dwell or die.” (Philippians 1:20).

Paul was doubtful about his release from prison and potential trials, but he clung to the electricity of the Gospel. He knew he would not be equipped to stay a great daily life, but his deepest wish was to, in each and every circumstance, carry glory and honor to the Lord–even if that meant death. He leaned on the electrical power of the Holy Spirit, praying to talk to God to assist him be unashamed and boldly share Jesus. It is usual to experience anxious about sharing our religion. However, when we start off to worry God over the panic of gentleman (Hebrews 13:6), we can boldly, confidently, and devoid of hesitation proclaim the information of salvation the globe desperately demands to listen to.

Let us Pray:
Heavenly Father, we humbly arrive in advance of you and talk to for forgiveness for the many periods we have unsuccessful to proclaim the Gospel. Support us as we navigate our days to share the message of salvation. We know that you are extended-struggling with your men and women and that your appreciate, mercy, and grace are plentiful. Thank you.

May we be daring, leaning into the ability of the Holy Spirit, who guides and directs our phrases and actions. We pray for those who never know You as Lord and Savior be sure to open their eyes and hearts to getting You. Make sure you assistance us to make the most of each prospect, for the times are brief. Enable us stay each and every working day as if it were being our last and give us a perception of urgency and conviction. We like you, Lord, and are so grateful for the reward of your Son. We are so undeserving, nonetheless you died for us although we had been still sinners (Romans 5:8). May we be vessels, the blessed feet which have the Gospel to the ends of the earth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
