A Prayer for the Weary Soul

“My brethren, count it all pleasure when you slide into various trials, figuring out that the testing of your faith makes tolerance.” – James 1:2-3 NKJV

Even as a Christian, often it feels like such a battle to maintain on to peace, hope, and pleasure. Understanding accurate peace, hope, and pleasure are not circumstantial, throughout my battle with intense rest deprivation from slumber troubles with my youngsters, I had to lean on God’s grace to get as a result of every single single day, not like any other time in my daily life. I knew the Bible explained to me that I wanted to “count it all joy” amid these trials, but I needed God to give me eyes to see the why and empower me to follow his direct. After his initial greeting to the tribes of Israel in the opening of James’ letter, he promptly commenced exhorting and encouraging God’s folks. He wrote, there is a reason in just the unpleasant storms of lifetime. James 1:2-3 says:

“My brethren, count it all joy when you drop into numerous trials, being aware of that the tests of your religion creates tolerance (NKJV).

We know as kids of God our Heavenly Father will allow trials in our life to strengthen our faith in Him and is normally operating things for our superior (Romans 8:28). James 1:3 reveals this sharpening or screening of our religion ‘muscles’ will create endurance in us, which is a fruit of the Spirit. God will generally use agonizing, uncomfortable, and annoying predicaments to sanctify us. We can have pleasure recognizing these storms and difficulties are molding us into on the lookout more like Christ. 

Finally, we need to keep in mind our pleasure is not anchored in this daily life, but most importantly, in the life to occur. When our lives are stuffed with trials, we must be ready to glance to the future—to heaven—to discover the pleasure that can soothe our weary hearts. Our pleasure have to be dependent on hunting to God and to the inheritance we will obtain in heaven. This is accurately what Jesus did. He was able to endure the cross because of the pleasure established right before Him (Heb. 12:2). We, far too, need to realize that the suffering we endure in this everyday living cannot compare with the pleasure laid up for us in heaven. So, chin up, pricey a single. God will reinforce you to endure all points, no subject how weary you may perhaps at this time come to feel. To be able to rely all suffering joyfully, we ought to look to God and cling to Him. 

Let’s pray:
Heavenly Father, I’m weary and hurting. I have questioned so a lot of occasions for this struggling to be eliminated and for You to rescue me from this storm. I experience depleted. I sense like I’m drowning. But I realize You have not called me to reside by my feelings or by what I see occurring all over me You have known as me to stroll by faith. And as my faith in You rises in me, I belief that You have me specifically in which I am intended to be -dependent upon Your grace. In my weakness, I know You are my power. I praise You in my pain, and I ask that You use this demo, suffering, and storm to modify me to seem extra like Christ- all for Your glory. I know I may endure weeping in the night time, but Your pleasure generally arrives- a pleasure that is not dependent upon my conditions but is everlasting and sustaining even in the darkest of evenings. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
