A Prayer for Missional Motherhood

For most people who grew up in church and even these who are not intently affiliated with the Christian faith, Matthew 28:18-20 is a familiar passage. We find out that disciples make far more disciples by baptizing them in the title of the Father and instructing some others to obey God’s command.

As a mother, I have normally neglected the everyday discipleship prospects in my home simply because I believed the lie that my gifts, abilities, and resources were being for far more crucial men and women or responsibilities. That the mission subject was “out there,” and I was lacking out. I deeply desired to go and inform the planet, but not my very own young children.

But nothing is farther from the fact. Our children are our most considerable mission discipline. We are their commanders, making ready them for battle- no larger joy or career is extra vital than investing in your child’s spiritual growth it is an problem of eternal lifestyle and dying.

I noticed these words and phrases about missional motherhood on a social media write-up: “Mamas, elevating your small children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord is not neglecting your success to the excellent commission but alternatively the reverse, your abilities, competencies, and educations are not wasted on your household. Discipling our young children is not just a one-and-done matter it is not a checklist but a way of daily life. All right, so you may be sitting there thinking, I have that need, but what if I say the improper matter or do not have all the answers? And we can acknowledge that we don’t have all the responses and graciously stage them to Christ.

We like you, Lord aid us be good stewards of the life you have entrusted us.
